A familiar problem

Understanding once does not mean remembering.

01

Useful words disappear

You meet a phrase in an article or conversation, understand it, then search for it again a week later.

02

Cards become maintenance

Finding a translation, saving an example and managing a deck can take more effort than continuing to read.

03

Recognition is misleading

A familiar answer is easy to pick. The word still may not come to mind when you need it in a conversation.

How Lingus works

From meeting a word — to using it with confidence.

Lingus handles the routine while you stay in control of what is genuinely worth learning.

1

Bring the context

Enter an expression, paste a passage or share text from another app.

2

Confirm the exact meaning

Lingus proposes the meaning used in your passage and explains why it may be useful.

3

Recall it at the right time

Short checks bring an expression back before it fades and gradually move from recognition to production.

More than flashcards

Learn the meaning you need, not “word — translation”.

One form can mean different things. Lingus connects memory to one exact sense, the original passage and natural word combinations.

  • Phrases and collocations as complete units
  • Original context before generated examples
  • Correct the meaning at any time

Is Lingus another English course?+

No. Lingus does not lead everyone through the same curriculum. You bring the words, phrases and texts that matter to you, and the app helps turn them into durable active vocabulary.

How is Lingus different from flashcards?+

Lingus preserves the exact sense used in the original context, helps select what is genuinely useful and keeps recognition evidence separate from recall and production.

Do I need to practise every day?+

No. Lingus is designed for short, calm sessions without punishment for missed days. New expressions are limited so future reviews do not become an endless debt.

Which English level is it for?+

The first version is designed for adults around B1–C1 who already read, watch or use English at work and want to retain vocabulary they actually meet.
